VCF Mestalla will host CD Olímpic on Saturday 18th of September at 6pm kick-off time on Matchday 3 of group IV chasing their third straight win in as many games to keep up their strong start to the season.

Following back-to-back wins over CD Castellon 3-1 and Orihuela CF 1-3, VCF Mestalla will try to hold on to their top spot very aware that there is a long way to go in the season.

VCF Mestalla right-back Joseda Menargues shared his thoughts ahead of their upcoming home fixture at the Antonio Puchades.

“We’re a competitive side who are only focused on winning the next game. We’ve only played to games and it’s enough to see beyond the next match".

Joseda was one of the standout players for VCF Mestalla last season and despite the difficulties, he picked up a lot of minutes under his belt at right-back, he showcased his attacking prowess with three goals tally which earned him a call-up for Spain under 19 as well as joining the first team in preseason.

At 19 years of age he has cemented his place in the starting line-up at right-back for VCF Mestalla who came away with the win from Los Arcos. A special win for José David as his family came down in support to watch him play.

“It was special for me because all my people came down to see me play. Playing in Valencia makes it difficult for them to come to the Puchades. Feeling their support helped me to feel comfortable".
